Goran Karan entered the music scene in the early 1980s as a member of several notable bands: Epicentar, Deveti krug, Zippo, and Big Blue. He launched his solo career in 1997, winning top prize at the Zadar Festival in the following year with the song Kazna mi je što te ljubim [Punished for Loving You] and released his first solo album titled Kao da te ne volim [Like I Don’t Love You] in 1999. With his album Vagabundo [The Vagabond] (2000), he achieved international renown, and the song Stay with Me reaching number one on the pop charts in Turkey. Goran Karan’s following albums and hits include Dalmatinske suze [Dalmatians Tears], AHOJ [AHOY], Ružo moja bila [Oh, My White Rose], Lipo misto [Nice Place], Da me poljubiš [For You to Kiss Me], Di si rasla [Where You Grew Up], Anđele [Oh, Angel], Od srca do usana [From Heart to the Lips], Čovik tvoj [Your Man],and Glas juga [A Voice from the South]. His broad popularity has been substantiated in concerts around Europe and on tours in the USA, Canada, Australia, and New Zealand, as well as by his having won top awards at numerous festivals in Croatia and the region, including the Melodies of the Croatian Adriatic, the Pula Festival, Dora, the Split Festival, the Sunny Scales, the Ohrid Summer Festival, the Knin Festival, and the Šibenik Chanson Festival. He has won three Porin Awards as well as the Golden Microphone of Diaspora in the Category of Pop Music Award in Vienna. In 2012, Goran Karan performed at the celebration of the North Macedonia Statehood Day in Skopje in front of seventy thousand visitors. His latest song Jednom dnevno [Once a Day] was released in 2018.

Silvije Bombardelli Split University Choir was founded in 2016. The fifty members of the choir are comprised of students and employees from all faculties of this University. The choir was named after the great Split composer and conductor Silvio Bombardelli (1916-2002), who was also a founder of the Split Summer Festival, and who will be forever remembered as a landmark Professor at the Pedagogical Academy in Split and as Conductor of the Split Croatian National Theater. In addition to enriching the events of the University, the choir also performs regularly at independent concerts and festivals, significantly expanding their musical repertoire and artistic reach. During the academic year, the choir holds rehearsals in the multifunctional hall of the North Tower of the University Library in Split.

Anamarija Tadin obtained her musical education at the Josip Hace Music School in Split at the Department of Music Theory and the Department for Organ. In 2012, she began studies of Music Theory at the Arts Academy in Split. As a student she was recognized with the Rector’s Award for Outstanding Academic Achievements in 2013. In 2018, Tadin defended her master’s thesis titled, Silvije Bombardelli: Moonlight: An Analysis and Arrangement for a Quartet of Saxophones. Due to the remarkable quality of this work and her overall studies, she was once again nominated for the Rector’s Award. Anamarija Tadin has been engaged as conductor of the Silvije Bombardelli Split University Choir since its foundation in 2016. Since 2018, Anamarija Tadin has been employed at the Arts Academy in Split as a Teaching Associate for the Music Pedagogy and Solfeggio courses. In addition to conducting and pedagogical work, she is actively engaged in arranging.
