Museum of Dance is a participatory, interactive play that takes place within a spatial installation inspired by the history of dance and choreography. The installation, which represents a museum at a small scale, consists of different rooms, each of them offering a different approach and reflection on dance. In each of the rooms, children encounter dance and choreography in a special way and have the possibilities to create, observe, or talk about dance, both individually and within a group. In addition to its educational character, the installation and performers interact with the audience differently than in typical drama and dance performances, as children have the opportunity to enter and explore spaces created by artists gathered around the Museum of Dance project. The installation was created as a part of a regional project for the development of dance theatre for children in coordination with Youth Generator, implemented in 2015.
