Aleksandar Tasić, clarinet, is one of the most prominent clarinetists of his generation. He completed his graduate and postgraduate studies at the Academy of Arts in Novi Sad under Professor Nikola Srdić. Tasić has studied with many prominent pedagogues and professors, such as Ricardo Morales, Michael Collins, Michel Arrignon, and Jim Ognibene. He won numerous first-prizes at music competitions for students in the former Yugoslavia and in 1998 First Prize at the Jeunesses Musicales Laureates of Orpheus Competition. The University of Novi Sad honored him with the Exceptional Award for his artistic activity. As a soloist, Aleksandar Tasić has performed in venues throughout Serbia, the region, and Europe with the Verbier Festival Orchestra (Switzerland), the Novosibirsk Philharmonic Orchestra, the Symphony Orchestra of the Academy of Arts in Novi Sad, the Stanislav Binički Artistic Ensemble of the Ministry of Defense of the Republic of Serbia, the Vojvodina Symphony Orchestra, the Montenegrin Symphony Orchestra, the Dušan Skovran Belgrade Symphony Orchestra, the Novi Sad Chamber Orchestra, the Žebeljan Orchestra, and the Camerata Panonnica String Orchestra, among others. Aleksandar Tasić is a Professor at the Academy of Arts in Novi Sad and a Professor of Clarinet at FILUM in Kragujevac. He is a representative of the famous manufacturer of wind instrument equipment Vandoren from France and of the American producer Royal Global.
