The book Trumpet – My Instrument is the first book of its type in Montenegro. It was written for the purpose of teaching the trumpet in primary music school, yet it can also be used by all brass instrument beginners. All the technical aspects of trumpet playing are precisely explained, from proper posture, body stretching, and breathing exercises to concrete long tone exercises, flexibility, intervals, scales, and etudes. The book is written in a contemporary way that caters to children and contains additional chapters, such as preparation for public performance, a list of suggestions for listening to music, and a practice diary, enhanced by the author’s personal approach regarding the broader context of learning to play wind instruments and the education of young people.
