#SYNERGY
Project presentation

The European #synergy, in enhancing the capacities of the classical music industry in the Western Balkans cooperation project, initiated by KotorArt Don Branko’s Music Days, brings together some of the largest art music festivals in the region: the Belgrade Festival Center (BELEF and BEMUS), the Dubrovnik Summer Festival, the Ljubljana Festival, Vox Baroque from Albania, and F. Chopin Association from Kosovo.*
The aim of this project is training and connecting cultural industry workers, primarily those involved in festivals and art music, while encouraging the creation of new classical music pieces inspired by the local heritage of all participating countries, starting with Kotor and Montenegro, as well as brought about through the networking and collaboration of young musicians, composers, and organizations pertaining to the classical music industry in the Western Balkans.
Over three years, the project will bring together twelve composers, more than fifty young musicians and cultural managers, six seminars for professionals in culture, and twelve residencies for composers; they will work on twelve new pieces inspired by the cultural heritage of the region and Europe. The grand finale of the project will be a festival tour that will present composers, new compositions, and young musicians during summer festivals across the Western Balkans.
