KotorArt implements the realization of one of its basic goals – the education of musical talents, through the work of the KotorArt Academy. Master classes of eminent pedagogues and renowned artists, from July 25 to August 11, give participants the opportunity to hone their performing skills. To the participants deemed most successful and talented, the KotorArt Academy will award a cash prize and provide logistical assistance in concert activities.

Stefan Milenkovich, violin, is Serbia’s Artist of the Century and Most Humane Person, while the New York Times has called him a “true virtuoso.” He has appeared in some of the world’s most celebrated venues, has performed with numerous distinguished orchestras, such as the Indianapolis Symphony Orchestra, the Berlin Symphony Orchestra, the Orpheus Chamber Orchestra, the Helsinki Philharmonic, the Radio France Symphony Orchestra, the NDR Radiophilharmonie, and the Bolshoi Theater, among others, collaborating with renowned conductors such as Sir Neville Marriner, Lorin Maazel, Vladimir Fedoseyev, and others. Milenkovich started his career at a very young age, playing numerous recitals, including concerts for Presidents Ronald Reagan and Mikhail Gorbachev, as well as for Pope John Paul II. Deeply committed to international humanitarian causes, he has participated in gala concerts under the auspices of UNESCO. Milenkovich has recorded a complete opus for solo violin by Johann Sebastian Bach, 24 Capricci by Nicolo Paganini (Dynamic), and several releases for the Serbian PGP label. He has collaborated with the British rock band Gorillaz, guitarist Vlatko Stefanovski, and lute player Edin Karamazov. Milenkovich studied under the famous Professor Mrs. Dorothy DeLay at the prestigious Juilliard School in New York City, where he began his teaching career as an assistant to Itzhak Perlman, followed by appointment as an Associate Professor at the University of Illinois (USA) and a Full Professor at the Academy of Arts in Novi Sad (Serbia). Milenkovich plays a 1783 Giovanni Battista Guadagnini violin.
